College Basketball Predictions: St Bonaventure (+3.5) vs. Xavier
(-3.5) Over – Under 136.5

Xavier got a gift when Temple was eliminated
in their first game of the A10 tournament. Temple was the A10 regular season
champion and was the class of the division. This was the team to beat, and their
loss was a big shock to many basketball insiders.

Xavier was once ranked
in the top 10 in the country. They did have high preseason expectations ranked
14th because of their roster and track record. Xavier has lost 11 games this
season, most since 2005-2006 season!

This is a team that has been the NCAA Tournament 6 straight seasons, yet at
the start of their conference tournament ESPN projected them as out. That would
of been a big step back for this team and Coach Chris Mack 70-28 record with
this team since he took over this team in 2009.

Many people speculate
that the Brawl with the Cincinnati changed this team. It was a game they
dominated over their crosstown rivals, but ended in fury as a mini brawl broke
out which included some heavy punches. Xavier went on to lose 5 of its next 6
games. A couple were due to suspensions, sure. But this wasn’t the same Xavier
team until now.

Anyone that knows College Basketball knows that Tu
Holloway was a player to watch and expected to be one of the best in the entire
nation. In his junior year he put up 19.7 ppg. It was expected that would
increase this year. That didn’t happen, not to say Holloway took a step back,
but he just didn’t have to be as dominate as one would of thought.

Mark
Lyons has proven to be one of the best players in the A10, not just on this
Xavier team. He was still Tu’s sidekick, but his progression this year was
somewhat surprising, and even more so that he played so well and Xavier still
lost games. Lyons is scoring 15.6 ppg, up from 13.6 which may not seem
significant but its the overall picture that really shows his progression. He
greatly improved his shooting. He was a 40% shooter last year, this year, that
mark was 43.2%. His 3 point shot went from .332 to .392. It wasn’t just his
shooting that improved, Lyons became a better ball handler. Last year he had 91
turnovers, this year, he only has 61. That doesn’t improve the fact that his
steals increased too.

Lyons has made Xavier a dual threat at the guard
position, which again makes it even more baffling that Xavier was so close to
not making the NCAA Tournament.

Now Xavier is just 1 game away from
securing an automatic bid and winning the A10 Conference tournament. All they
have to do is beat a team that they have beaten 11 straight times. It has been
11 years since St Bonaventure has beat Xavier. I cannot see it happening today
when this game means so much for the better team.

Xavier won both heads up meetings this season by double digits. Lyons and
Holloway combined for 70 points in those two games. St Bonaventure doesn’t have
an answer for them. This is easy, Xavier will be your A10 Champions.

я думаю если чел провел такой анализ и все подробно изложил, проходимость должна быть большая!

ксавье не просто так должен выйграть, а ему очень нужна победа, чтоб попасть в десятку, как я понял.
