The Indiana Pacers kept the topsy-turvy series alive with a win at home in game six. These teams have alternated wins in each and every game of this series. The Heat scored just 77 points for the game, equaling a season low, and shot just 36.1% from the field which was a season low. The Heat were beaten off the glass by 20, but when you miss 46 shots, your opponent is going to have a lot of opportunity for rebounds. And while Indiana does have an advantage off the glass, it isn't as great as that. It all comes back to South Beach, and LeBron and company will be a lot more focused here than they were in Indiana, especially with the now one and done format. It was an ugly game for Miami, perhaps their ugliest of the season, and that has driven the public to Indiana. I expect Miami to come out with even more intensity on defense in game seven. The last 30 times the NBA has gone to a game seven, the UNDER has prevailed 63.3% of the time. These games are defined by defense, and a half court game. The Pacers have played four straight UNDERs after a 10+ point win. Play the UNDER.

The truth is, Houston is not going to win a lot of games this season. But, even the worst of the worst teams, and the best of the best teams  have peaks and valleys over 162 games. Houston is in the midst of one of those peaks right now, having won six of their last seven games. The pitching has been getting it done, allowing just 24 runs over their last nine games at 2.7 per contest. That vaults them into a valued position here at home on the runline. Baltimore ranks No. 28 in the league in pitching, and their pen has already blown eight saves. Houston is 5-0 in Kuechel's last five starts on regular four days rest. Go with Houston on the runline.

Miami's defense played a big role in them winning last year, and getting to the Finals again this year. The Heat through 16 playoffs games have not allowed any team to reach the century mark in regulation, and has held five of those teams in the 70s or less.  The Spurs have a lot of playoffs experience, and know the way to the title starts on the defensive end, as they have played 13 of their last 16 road games to the UNDER. The Heat are of the same ilk with 17 of their last 22 vs. a winning team having failed to reach the total. These teams have also played defense against each other with the UNDER at 20-5 in the last 25 meetings. Take the UNDER.

Top pick: #4 (DERBY WATCH) (5-1) - He takes a big step up off by far a career best when breaking his maiden here on May 11th. Racing off a 70 day freshening, he broke on top, opened up a big lead, and coasted home by 11 lengths on a sloppy track stopping the clock in 1:10.40 for the 6 furlongs. He's worked twice since and will be tough if that last race is repeatable.

2nd pick: #6 (Road Agent) (7-2) - From the barn of leading trainer Dave Jacobson, colt takes a big drop in class after a fine second-place finish here facing tougher going 7 furlongs just nine days ago. He's been much improved since joining this barn via a claim and is a strong win candidate.

3rd pick: #1 (Island Sunset) (4-1) - He was a winner here at this trip racing for a $30K tag May 4th in his first off a Dom Galluscio claim, then chased and tired at this level 12 days later. Stalker has the rail and must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #3 (Coaltown Legend) (6-1) - Veteran gelding runs third back off a 8 1/2 month layoff and he's finished an even fourth in both of his return efforts. 8-year-old loves an "off" track (12-3-0-3) and would be the main beneficiary if the pace were fast/and or contested.
