Game: Cleveland at Seattle (10:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Seattle -105 (moneyline) at TopBet
Don't look now, but the Seattle Mariners have rattled off six straight wins. The pitching is strong, but the issue this season with Seattle has been the quiet bats, but that has changed as the offense has caught fire. In their last 10 games, Seattle has averaged 7.4 runs per game, including cracking double-digits three times. This comes on the heels of having done so just one time prior all season long. Cleveland has had issues on the road where they are just 22-27 on the season, while the M's enter a respectable .500 at home. They have certainly had issues on the road behind Ubaldo Jimenez, where they are a woeful 8-20 in his last 28 road starts as a dog. The M's are working magic at home where they are a crisp 29-9 in their last 38 vs. a team with a losing road record, and the Tribe has mustered just a single win in their last five here. Play on Seattle.

Game: Tampa Bay at Boston (7:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Boston -135 (moneyline) at Bovada
The Tampa Bay Rays have continued their torrid pace, which has seen them go 18-2 over their last 20 games. Boston still leads the AL East, and have a pitching advantage here in this one. Roberto Hernandez has been the weakest link in the Rays' rotation, and has struggled mightily on the road. Hernandez is just 1-6 on the road with a 5.74 ERA on the season. His body of work over the last three seasons shows him at a woeful 12-28. Boston is 31-18 and hasn't dropped two in a row at home since May 12th - more than two months ago. The Rays have dropped five straight behind Hernandez as a road dog, while Boston is 7-0 behind Lester in his last seven home starts. Play on Boston.

Game: San Diego at Milwaukee (2:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Milwaukee -130 (moneyline) at Diamond
The San Diego Padres made a nice run in the NL West when they went on a 16-8 tear. The problem is that they have been just 7-21 since then. Outside of the 16-8 run, this team stands in at just 29-49 in all other games. There have been a lot of inquiries made as to the availability of Yovani Gallardo, but the Brewers insist he is unavailable. Gallardo is 68-46 over the last five seasons. Edinson Volquez has been a huge disappointment with a 7-8 record and an ERA not far from 6. He has not had success when facing the Brew Crew where his 11 career starts show an ERA of 5.05. San Diego is just 3-12 in their last 15 road games. Milwaukee owns a crisp 48-18 mark in Gallardo's last 66 starts as a home favorite. Milwaukee is also 5-1 in Gallardo's last six starts against the Padres. Play this one on Milwaukee.

SARATOGA Race #6 at 3:45 PM Eastern
Top pick: #5 (WHITE ROSE) (5-2) - Lightly-raced and consistent (6-1-3-1), grey filly by "Tapit" ships from Monmouth where she finished a strong second in an entry-level allowance on June 28th. It was her second back from a 80-day freshening and she's worked fast since. The distance isn't a problem and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Concise) (4-1) - English-import kept some good company in her native country and is working nicely for trainer Graham Motion for her first since May 17th. Daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" will race with lasix and Motion does extremely with European imports racing in North America for the first time (10 for 40 {25%}).
3rd pick: #3 (Sabouli) (12-1) - Longshot is also from the Motion barn and the two fillies race uncoupled. Four-year-old has gone 7-2-4-1 this year facing claimers and is moving up in class. In career best shape at present and a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Precarious) (3-1) - Very lightly-raced filly has been freshened up since an impressive maiden win at Belmont on May 15th. This is her "home" track and this promising daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" has plenty of room for upside.

Game: St. Louis at Atlanta (7:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: St. Louis -109 (moneyline) at 5Dimes
St. Louis may be the most complete team in baseball, and their record is certainly evidence of that. They are in a good spot behind Adam Wainright in this one. Wainwright had an off year last season after returning from arm surgery. He has built the arm strength back up, and once again is amongst the elite in the game. He has allowed 3 runs or less in 17 of 21 starts, and the Cardinals find themselves in every game in which he takes the mound. Opponents have scored a grand total of 60 runs in the 21 starts - less than 3 per contest, while the Cards' offense has delivered 114. Atlanta got off to a big start, but has been a .500 team since. The Braves have been miserable against qulity pitching, posting a woeful 1-8 mark in their last 9 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Play on St. Louis.

SARATOGA Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern
Top pick: #1 (BRABBHAM) (5-2) - He's part of a Darley Stable trained entrt with No. 1a "Lochte" and trainer Kiaran has jockey Jose Ortiz Jr. listed on both halves, so only one will run. Son of "Bernardini" cost $1.2M and ran strongly last out at Belmont. Has the rail and is bred to love this 1 1/8th mile distance.
2nd pick: #5 (Sliver and Onions) (3-1) - Grey colt has finished second in both appearances, the latest coming at Belmont going a "flat" mile on July 6th. He'll be trying a two-turn distanvce for the first time and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (King of Broadway) (6-1) - Colt ran well when finishing 5th of 12, beaten 3 1/2 lengths when debuting going 7 furlongs at Churchill Downs on the "Derby Day" undercard (May 4th). On the sidelines since, he's working way above average for this two-turn attempt and is bred to like this trip.
4th pick: #4 (Dyker Beach) (4-1) - A bit on the unreliable side, he's finished second in half of his eight starts and has been freshened up since June 8th. Gelding by "Curlin" is working fast locally and trainer Nick Zito will add blinkers for the first time.

Game: Milwaukee at Colorado (8:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Colorado -120 (moneyline) at 5Dimes
The Milwaukee Brewers have played very good baseball at home over the past few years, but for the most part they have been a train wreck on the road. So far this season, they are 16-31 on the highway. They were beaten badly here last night 8-3. Since pitching three consecutive shutouts, the Brewers' staff has fallen sharply as they have allowed 30 runs in their last five games. The Rockies' pitching has allowed just 27 runs in their last 11 games, and the way they swing the bats certainly poises them to come out on top here. Milwaukee has really struggled in anticipated offensive games, as they are 3-14 in their last 17 with a total from 9 to 10.5. The Rockies have cashed in on 20 of the last 26 meetings played here, and have the edge tonight. Take the Rockies.

SARATOGA Race #4 at 2:30 PM Eastern
Top pick: #7 (FEDERAL AGENT) (4-1) - Lightly-raced home-bred son of "Curlin" has been freshened up since finishing a troubled third at Belmont on May 31st racing at this level going 10 furlongs. Colt has been competitive il all four turf starts and has been training locally since late May. Gets the call in a wide open contest.
2nd pick: #2 (Parnelli) (5-1) - Darley owned colt by "Bedrnardini" cost $300K and has run well in three of his four grass attempts. He has a pair of quick local works on view and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin will add lasix for the first time, a strong 31% move by the barn.
3rd pick: #6 (Unitarian) (5-2) - Home-bred has gone 3-0-2-1 since trainer Todd Pletcher switched him to the turf and son of "Pulpit" will race with blinkers on for the first time. Obvious win candidate, but may be over-bet a bit.
4th pick: #5 (Tiz Nasty) (12-1) - Longshot finished 4th of 10, beaten 8 1/2 lengths when debuting at Delaware in a switched race on July 1st. Bred to love both the grass and this distance, colt by "Tiznow" can impact for a barn (Graham Motion) that's off to a good start at the meet.

Game: Kansas City at Chicago White Sox (2:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Chicago White Sox -104 (moneyline) at Bovada
Bruce Chen has been great this season for the Royals, but let's not forget he's 36 years old and isn't likely to keep up this pace much longer. The problem for the Royals is their lack of run support. Over their past seven games, this team has produced just 3.3 runs per game. And they have struggled vs. left-handed pitchers all season long (3.3 runs per game in 29 games vs. southpaws). Since last season, the White Sox are 42-29 vs. AL teams that score under 4.3 runs per game. And the Royals simply don't get the job done as road chalk. They are 57-73 in this rare role as a road favorite of -100 to -150. I like Chicago in this one.
